PAN FRIED FISH |
Hello everyone!
If you have less than 15 minutes to prepare and serve dinner and your family is a fan of seafood, then this recipe is a must know. A quick, easy and healthy pan fried fish fillet recipe that gets ready in less than 10 mins. You just need to prepare a nice marinade for the fillet and pan fry it. I am a fan of pan frying as it is a healthier option as opposed to shallow or deep frying. Pan frying is a quick and healthy option to prepare fillets or steaks where you just need to evenly coat a nice non stick pan or skillet with very less fat, heat the pan and fry. You can also serve the fillet with tossed or stir fried veggies and rice to make a complete meal.
Here goes the recipe...
PAN FRIED FISH
Serves 3
Prep time 2 mins
Cooking time 12 mins approx
INGREDIENTS
3 White fish fillets 1 kg (330 gm each approx)
For marinade:
Garlic paste 2 and a 1/2 tsp
Oyster sauce 1/2 tsp
Fish sauce 3/4 tsp
Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Onion powder 1/4 tsp
Vinegar 2 tsp
Water 1 tsp
Dry basil 2/3 tsp
Olive oil 1 tsp
Salt to taste
For frying:
Oil 1 and a 1/2 tsp
For garnish:
Red chilli flakes, coriander, sesame seeds and lemon slices
METHOD
Pat dry the fillets to remove excess moisture. Mix all ingredients of the marinade together in a bowl. Once the marinade is ready, brush the marinade all over on both sides of fillets. Next evenly coat the pan with 1 and a half tsp oil and heat the pan. When hot put the fillet and fry on both sides till a nice and light golden brown crust is formed on the outside of the fillet. Cooking one side takes about 3 to 4 mins approx.
Remove from heat when ready, garnish and serve hot.
