Let us talk about two more superfoods today.... Kale and Garlic.
Kale is a leader among superfoods...very good for your skin and hair. It brings benefits to the entire body. It has high amounts of Vitamin c which boosts natural collagen and increase skin elasticity. Kale is also rich in copper protecting skin from inflammation and exposure. Presence of Vitamin A promote cell growth. Kale also helps boost hair growth, reduces bloating, increase brain helath due to presence of omega 3 fatty acids and increases heart health due to presence of high carotenoid levels.
Next let us talk about Garlic...
According to National Cancer Institute, garlic consumption may reduce risk of developeing certain cancer types, although the exact amount of garlic consumption required for this is not known yet. Other benefits include weight control, preventing common cold, treating psoriasis and cold sores, healthy hair and reduce acne.
Let us make a soupy kale recipe, which has garlic and green chillies providing it a beautiful taste. It is simple to make and you can enjoy eating it with steamed rice.

SOUPY GARLIC KALE
Serves 2 to 3
Prep time 5 mins
Cooking time 15 to 20 mins
INGREDIENTS
Kale roughly chopped 250 gms
Garlic crushed 6 to 7 cloves
Oil 2 tbsp
Aniseed powder 1/2 tsp
Slit green chillies 3 to 4
Salt to taste
Water 2 cups
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan. put garlic and saute for half a minute. Next put kale, salt, aniseed powder, green chillies and water and bring it to a boil. Cover lid and cook on high flame for 15 mins or till kale becomes tender. Remove from heat and serve hot.
