No sauce Spaghetti and Peas

Hello everyone!

How about a quick and healthy spaghetti for dinner today. If you have spaghetti and peas in your kitchen, the two main ingredients of this dish, you are good to go. And yes basil too.

Spaghetti, the life of Italian cuisine...it is convenient and delicious in its own way...there are a number of ways to turn it into an exciting dinner other than the usual meatballs and tomato sauce version. My recipe is a simple stir fry without using a sauce. In order to make it more healthy I have used spaghetti made of durum wheat semolina and oats flour. You can use any other healthier variant as per your convenience. So lets make this quick and easy spaghetti now.

PEAS SPAGHETTI

Serves 2
Prep time 5 mins
Cooking time 15 mins for boiling spaghetti
                        10 mins for the recipe

INGREDIENTS

Boiled spaghetti 200 gm
Shelled Peas (frozen or fresh) 80 gm
Crushed garlic 3 cloves
Basil 1 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Pepper powder 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Olive oil 1 and a half tbsp

METHOD

Boil spaghetti, drain and keep aside. In a pan heat olive oil and add garlic. Saute for a few seconds and then add peas and saute till peas are almost tender. Put pepper and mix. Now add spaghetti and basil and mix well. Stir fry for 2 minutes, add lemon juice, mix and remove from heat. Sprinkle red chilli flakes and serve hot.
