Red bell chicken marries rose



CHICKEN WITH RED BELL PEPPER AND ROSEMARY 


Rosemary, one of my favourite herbs, it has a piquant pine like flavor.
It goes so well with lamb, poultry, grilled vegetables, marinades.

Using this beautiful herb and chicken I have created for you all a succulent aromatic recipe which tastes great. I personally love eating it with steamed white rice.

Here goes the recipe, hope you all find it good enough.

CHICKEN WITH DRY ROSEMARY HERB

Serves 6
Prep time 10 mins approx
Cooking time 30-35 mins approx

INGREDIENTS

Chicken legs with/without skin   900 gms
Red bell pepper cut into thin strips 2 medium
Onions sliced 2 medium
Garlic paste 1 and a half tsp 
Ginger chopped  1 tsp
Red chilli paste  2 tsp
Green chillies cut in thin strips 4
Dry rosemary 1 tsp
Chilli flakes 1 tsp
Sesame seeds 1 tsp
Curry powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 2 and a half tbsp

METHOD:

Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan. Add chicken legs and roast till chicken turns golden brown.
Next add onions, garlic paste, ginger, green chillies and cook alongwith chicken till onions turn translucent.
Then add red bell pepper, red chilli paste, rosemary, salt, curry powder, chilli flakes and cook for 2 to 3 mins.
Add 1/4 th cup water cover pan with lid and simmer for 10 minutes or till chicken is well cooked .
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion and serve hot.
